The company was founded in Japan as Sanshin Ltd. in 1957. Originally, the company produces medicines, health care facilities and other medical products. Combi was just a product line of Sanshin introduced to the market in 1961. For recalls, Combi has tallied two products in this category. The first recall in the US was their activity rockers. This product was sold to the market in 2000-2001. The recall entails the toys in the activity rocker could choke the kids. One of the toys in the rocker is a blue toy with beads inside it. Their Avatar Child Safety Seat was also recalled. During the test crash for this product, the Avatar was found to inadequately protect the kids. The strap could be removed when the car crashed. That means the kid will not be strapped in tight when crash happens. Those that have this product could request a repair tool kit to fix this problem.

Combi’s products especially the strollers are thought to be lightweight. Since its lightweight, Combi products are made for light strolls and not for intensive walking.
